Organization at a glance
Kurigram DPOD is a Disabled Peoples Organization (DPO) working in Kurigram district of Bangladesh. The organization was established on 03-8-2002 Being started involving 481persons with disabilities with the initiative of 35 persons with disabilities. Now the organization has total 999 members; among them male 551 and female 448 The organization implements its activities ensuring equal participation of men and women with disabilities. According the bylaws of the organization there are 27 members in its General Committee and 7 members are in the Executive Committee. The organizational activities are implemented by the staff and volunteers following the directives of the General Secretary/ Executive Director. Through the direct involvement of the men and women with disabilities, the organization is working to promote rights of persons with disabilities and improving their lives with supports from government and non-government organizations. Besides, the organization is striving for partnership with the mainstreaming organizations for Disability Inclusion in their programs through ensuring active and meaningful participation of persons with disabilities as well as providing capacity building and technical assistance.

Kurigram DPOD is working in Bangladesh in Kurigram district It is working in the Fulbari, Borobhita, Vangamor and Shimulbari Unions of under Fulbari sub-district (upazila) of Kurigram.
